Aflao experienced one of its most electrifying nights in recent memory as Keeny Ice, the pride of the Ketu land, staged the monumental “Loud in Aflao” concert— at Victoria Park Aflao, an event that has now stamped its place as the premier Ewe-powered music festival.
The show reached fever pitch when Stonebwoy, Africa’s Grammy-nominated dancehall icon, pulled up unannounced to support his “younger brother” in the industry, Keeny Ice. The appearance sent shockwaves through the crowd as Aflao erupted into wild cheers.
Agbeshie, another homegrown star, followed with a blazing performance—turning the event into a full Volta takeover.
A Night of Pure Ewe Pride and Cultural Energy
This year’s Loud in Aflao deepened its growing identity as the flagship concert promoting Ewe music, culture, and artistry. From the rhythms of Hedze to the lyrical brilliance of the underground acts, the night celebrated what it means to be Ewe—bold, rhythmic, spiritual, and deeply connected to heritage.
The presence of the Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbuiga Adzongaga Amenya Fiti V, added cultural weight to the moment. Torgbuiga Fiti V and Maamaga Dzifa Gomashie, MP for Ketu South and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, again graced the stage with their signature dance moment—reviving memories of Aflao’s beloved Godzigbe cultural festival.
Their dance to Keeny Ice’s Hedze has become a symbolic stamp of approval, inspiring the youth to embrace creativity, music, and the performing arts.
They were joined by the Ketu South MCE, Hon. Nicolas Worlachie, and chiefs from different wings of the Aflao Traditional Area—signal that the community has thrown its full support behind Keeny Ice and the new Ewe music movement.
The night featured powerful performances from emerging and underground talents from across Volta, Oti, Greater Accra, and even Togo. For many youth performers, sharing a stage with Keeny Ice, Stonebwoy, and Agbeshie was a transformative moment—one that signals new hope for the region’s creative economy.
As Keeny Ice continues to push Ewe music onto the national and global stage, Loud in Aflao is fast becoming:
a melting pot for young Volta creatives
a platform for emerging Ewe musicians
a tourism attraction rooted in culture
and the biggest creative export event from Ketu South
The combined presence of royalty, political leaders, international stars, and the vibrant Aflao youth made this edition of Loud in Aflao the most iconic yet—cementing Keeny Ice’s place as the front-runner of modern Ewe rap and Afro-fusion.
Loud in Aflao: More Than a Concert—A Cultural Movement
This year’s edition didn’t just entertain—it reignited cultural pride and energized a new generation to embrace music, art, dance, and creativity as tools for growth, expression, and identity.
Aflao spoke loudly—and the world heard.
