The Ketu South Municipal Assembly has begun the construction of a permanent office complex for the Municipal Health Directorate within the Assembly’s premises, bringing relief to a directorate that has battled office accommodation challenges for years.

When News Volta visited the project site, workers were actively on site, with initial construction works visibly underway. Building materials had been mobilised, and artisans were engaged in early-stage structural works, signaling a steady start to the project.

The initiative, spearheaded by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Nicholas Worklachie, is aimed at improving the working conditions of health staff and strengthening health service delivery across the municipality. For a long time, the Health Directorate operated from inadequate and scattered office spaces, affecting staff coordination and overall efficiency.

The new office facility is expected to provide a centralised and conducive working environment for health administrators and officers, allowing for better planning, monitoring, and supervision of public health programmes in Ketu South.

Hon. Worklachie has described the project as a critical investment in healthcare administration, noting that quality infrastructure is key to effective service delivery. He stressed that supporting the Health Directorate with a permanent office reflects the Assembly’s commitment to improving healthcare outcomes for residents.

Officials of the Municipal Health Directorate expressed appreciation for the intervention, describing it as timely and a major boost to staff morale.

The project forms part of the Assembly’s broader development agenda to strengthen public institutions and improve service delivery in the municipality.
