Twenty-seven Community Medical First Responders, also known as Ambulance Service Assistants, recruited under the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), have been officially handed over to the Ghana National Ambulance Service in the Ketu South Municipality.

The brief handover ceremony was held in Tokor and witnessed by the Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Municipal Director of YEA, Mr. Joseph Agbolanson Kukpawu, and officials of the Ambulance Service.

Receiving the personnel on behalf of the Service, the Ketu South Ambulance Service Commander, Mr. Amuzu Emmanuel, expressed appreciation for the initiative and assured that the assistants would be properly supervised and deployed to support emergency medical response across the municipality.

Addressing the new recruits, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie advised them to demonstrate discipline, professionalism, and commitment in the discharge of their duties. She stressed that their role as first responders is critical to saving lives and urged them to be responsive and dedicated at their duty posts.

The Municipal Director of YEA, Mr. Joseph Agbolanson Kukpawu, also encouraged the beneficiaries to remain committed and uphold the standards of the programme. He reminded them that their performance would reflect not only on themselves but on the institutions they represent.

The deployment of the Community Medical First Responders is expected to strengthen emergency health delivery and improve response time to medical emergencies within the Ketu South Municipality.
